The Remington Group also plans to build the mall to be environmentally friendly. Proposals include the use of LEED Standard Design, natural lighting, and geothermal heating and cooling. The mall will be nestled at the northeast corner of Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road, at 4390 Steeles Avenue East, only an 8-minute drive from Downtown Markham. The convenient location of the mall eases the commuting experience for tourists and Markham citizens coming to the Remington Centre. There are many bus stations nearby, or if you’re planning to drive or bike, there’s expected to be 3,428 parking spaces, as well as 289 bicycle parking spaces.
